POLITICAL AND CAMPAIGNS
MAG is putting together a vigorous campaign against the ban on black visors. Trevor Baird will be initiating the campaign.
Fear Factor – MAG requires as many completed forms as possible to be filed out and sent back to Central (Rugby) ASAP. The initial results seem to show a different picture to what the insurance industry is stating.
QUESTIONS TO REPS AND OFFICERS.
These will be answered direct by e-mail if possible.
REGIONAL REPS /NC REPORT.
BH gave us a brief report on the previous NC meeting; the meeting minutes will be made available when he receives them from Central.
Deputy Regional Rep.
TM Volunteered to act as a ‘Point of Contact’ from Central to Cumbria if BH is incapacitated (BUT WE HOPE HE Isn’t).
MAG SPORT – It has been suggested that a Rep for all things sporting i.e. Speedway, Trails, and Scramblers WSB etc is appointed to give reports to the Cumbria site to raise the profile of MAG Sport.
AGC Fair pool.
CT to confirm if the AGC fair pool money has been paid?
The 2003 MAG AGC
This is being held at Beverley in Yorkshire on the 12th April all members are encouraged to attend the conference, Brian believes it is on a rally weekend?

Reports were received from :-

Workington – Caroline Heaney
Furness – Mike Marsden
Clubs Liaison - Anne Crayston

3. ADVANCE BUSINESS
All Local Reps are to discuss dates for local events (i.e. Ride Outs) to ensure no duplication of dates, so if you are planning an event let everyone know ASAP.
MAG will be running another Track Attack at Donnington Park this year so pass this on to any track day addicts or interested parties.
4. A.O.B.
Any local Reps unable to make the committee meeting are asked to send a representative if possible.
Quorate- The numbers of Cumbria Committee members required to be quorate was discussed, the feeling was that at least four committee members should be present to make any Cumbria MAG decisions.
TM has volunteered to be the Deputy Minute Secretary to cover for any Committee meeting that CT is unable to attend.
BH had a calendar from Yorkshire MAG depicting Photos from the Farmyard (Though it did tend to have a lot of old hippie types on it!!) which is for sale for the princely sum of £5.
All attendees at the meeting agreed that the e-mail system was the best method of communication for the committee.
The next committee meeting will take place at
The Salutation Inn, Threlkeld on Wednesday 12th March 2003 at 8 pm.
